The Workers' Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau of Massachusetts
Challenge:
For organizations like the The Workers' Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau of Massachusetts (WCRIBMA)—the non-profit intermediary and statistical agency for worker’s compensation insurers, regulators, insurance agents and employers in Massachusetts—computerization was a godsend. However, how to utilize the technology to facilitate better communication between the six departments wasn’t readily obvious. An organization-wide intranet seemed like a good idea, but after trying several off-the-shelf solutions, it became clear that a custom-built solution was needed.
Solution:
Firefly designed and built a fully-integrated intranet solution that was both easy to use and flexible enough to fit the varying needs of each department. After the new Firefly-created intranet and content management system went online, the improved internal communication helped the organization realize increased productivity, better meeting coordination, more efficient processes and improved overall internal communication.
